Paul Chamberlain (accordion)

Classical Accordion is the first album released on Pentland Music by the Scottish accordionist Paul Chamberlain. It contains a delightful programme of repertoire beginning with the Baroque music of J. S. Bach and Rameau. The versatility of the solo accordionist is demonstrated and the disc programme also features transcriptions of Khachaturian's famous Toccata in E flat minor and Moszkowski's virtuosic Spanish Caprice. There are also two original works for accordion - Romance by contemporary French composer Franck Angelis, and Alexander Nagayev's Sonata No 1.
