Jørgen Fasting studied between 1994 and 1998 with Professor Erik Niord Larsen at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo. In 1998, he joined the Nordic Chamber Orchestra in Sundsvall, Sweden and moved back to Norway in 2004 to become a member of The Royal Norwegian Navy Band, gaining a full time position in 2007, which he holds today.
