The string quartet “+KINISIS”, is one of the most important Greek Chamber Music Ensembles. It was created in 1998 under the auspices of the Athens Municipality and consists of renowned musicians who have distinguished themselves as soloists and in the field of chamber music. The quartet for a long time participated in the activities of the Orchestra of Colors.

The repertoire of the quartet includes works of classical music composers and Greek composers of the 21st century (Alkis Baltas, Periklis Koukos, Dimitris Gouzios, Giorgos Roussos, Kostas Grigoriou, etc.).

The quartet performs regularly in Athens and often in cities of the Greek countryside. Also in collaboration with the Greek Composers’ Union contributes to the promotion of contemporary Greek art creation.

The quartet holds 14 works by Greek composers, most of which are dedicated to the ensemble and have been performed for the first time worldwide. Some of these works have been recorded and released on various CDs.
