Michael Heath: Suit Suite

Suit Suite
Londinium IV, Katherine Tinker - piano, Alison Arnopp - soprano

Amalgamated Arts represents the works of Michael Heath and Suit Suite is its first CD release. Known originally for his compositions for the theatre, Michael’s work has broadened into writing for the concert platform. This led to a commission for a new string quartet for Londinium IV - the quartet from the London Philharmonic Orchestra - and the success of its premiere led to this recording, for which Michael specially composed the Three Dance Duets for violin and ‘cello. The CD also features the first recording of his piano suite Arcady and the song cycle Wave Songs. These exciting, dramatic, romantic and tonal works have broad popular appeal for classical music fans.  More >>
